Sustainable partnership powers the future

The truth about logistics and sustainability is: we cannot do this alone.

Working together unlocks greater impact than acting alone

Collaboration across the supply chain, with carriers, suppliers, customers, NGOs, and industry bodies, is crucial for achieving meaningful emission reductions.

Strong partnerships are a key driver for reducing emissions in logistics. Working together enables us to share best practices and innovations, align on standards and reporting and drive systemic change across the industry.

Innovators and alliances

From sustainable options like lower-emission transport modes to investing in Sustainable Aviation Fuel, we work alongside partners to make informed, climate-conscious decisions.

Partnership is powerful. For example, in collaboration with innovators like Synhelion and Natilus, we’re exploring sustainable solutions that could reshape the future of logistics. Learn more about how you can partner for a more sustainable future.

Memberships and partnerships

Through strategic partnerships with leading organisations, Kuehne+Nagel helps shape global sustainability standards and drives industry-wide transformation, ensuring our initiatives remain both credible and transparent.

Kuehne+Nagel has been committed to the Ten Principles since 2020, aligning our operations with universal sustainability principles.

We partner with the Smart Freight Centre to develop common standards for emissions calculation and reporting, ensuring transparency and consistency in sustainable logistics.

We work with IATA to promote the use of accurate operational emissions data provided directly by airlines, improving the measurement of emissions in air logistics.

We work closely with this initiative to track and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from container shipping and share best practices for ocean freight decarbonisation.

Through this community, we help create a unified Book and Claim framework for transport decarbonisation, supporting standards, certification, and better reporting.

Project SkyPower unites the aviation industry to overcome barriers and scale e-SAF—a low-emission fuel made from renewable electricity, water, and captured CO₂. We collaborate with partners to drive innovation and boost production of these next-generation fuels, which can cut lifecycle emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil jet fuel.

NGOs and community partners

Community Engagement is about giving back and actively contributing to the well-being of the communities we work and live in. At Kuehne+Nagel, we acknowledge our responsibilities and recognise the opportunity we have for positive impact through community initiatives and partnerships.
